I’m looking for fiction novels that incorporate modern retellings of classics. Think “Demon Copperhead” by Barbara Kingsolver as a modern “David Copperfield”, or “The Hours” by Michael Cunningham as a modern “Mrs. Dalloway”…
I find this kind of book so interesting…especially reading the older novel first and then the modern one to catch all of the parallels. Are there other good examples of this besides the two I mentioned?
