Hello! I’m looking for a book recommendation for my little sister (11). She loves K-pop, manga, and learning about East Asian culture. She also really enjoys learning about Egypt. She usually prefers fantasy books set in the modern world and definitely prefers a female protagonist. She also enjoys horror too!
Some books and tv series she has enjoyed:
– Percy Jackson series, she would love something like this but with Chinese, Korean, or Japanese mythology
– The Kane Chronicles
– Sailor Moon
– She-Ra
– Goosebumps
– A Series of Unfortunate Events
– loves all things Star Wars, Ahsoka is her favorite character

Don’t know if she likes horror but The Girl from the Well and its sequel by Rin Chupeco are really good. It has a lot of Japanese mythology from what I remember.
