My partner and I are going on an 11 hour roadtrip soon and are looking for an audiobook to listen to on the way. We’ve made this trip before and listened to Devil in the White City and really enjoyed. Are there any other nonfiction narrative books with some history and true crime energy? TIA!

No real order to these other than in which I read them
Crime things
* Under the Banner of Heaven – Jon Krakauer
* Killers of the Flower Moon – David Grann
* Catch and Kill – Ronan Farrow
* Empire of Pain – Patrick Radden Keefe
* Bad Blood – John Carreyrou
* American Kingpin – Nick Bilton
* The Great Train Robbery – Michael Chrichton (this kind of counts, historical fiction)
* The Chickenshit Club – Jesse Eisinger
* Just Mercy – Bryan Stevenson
No relation to crime, but great nonfic with historical backdrop / major societal shift
* The Big Short – Michael Lewis
* The Great Halifax Explosion – John U. Bacon
* The Perfect Storm – Sebastian Junger
* Shadow Divers – Robert Kurson
* Endurance – Alfred Lansing
* Bitcoin Billionaires – Ben Mezrich (the Winklevii are back!)
More Erik Larson I’ve liked
* Dead Wake
* Isaac’s Storm
* Splendid and the Vile
