Most anticipated book releases ever ?

I’m currently reading A Song of Ice and Fire so I see things about the unreleased books in the series often. I’ve never waited on a book release so I’m wondering what books in the past have had you checking for updates or just some highly anticipated books. Have you ever waited in line for new books, if so what ones ? Or books that you waited on that just never came out as well.
