Disclaimer – I’m new to fantasy/romantic fantasy.
So I’m reading the ACOTAR series (I know, I’m late to the game. I’m nearly finished ACOSF). I can already feel the book hangover coming as I’m creeping up on finishing this series.
I already have the Crescent City series and the Fourth Wing series on my shelves ready to read. I also have the Priory of the Orange Tree and its prequel.
I’ve not read much fantasy before. I read a couple GOT books a few years ago but lost interest. I’ve almost finished the Outlander series (but I consider that more historical fiction). Other than that in the past I’ve been mostly a contemporary popular fiction girly. But I struggle with anxiety (at times, medication is helping) and sometimes contemporary fiction can set off my anxiety a little.
However – I’ve been finding that fantasy hasn’t so far. And I’m a little obsessed with the escapism.
So – what series can I immerse myself in like ACOTAR? Please give me your best recommendations.
