Hi there, I’m doing my PhD on contemporary North American representations of motherhood in fiction. I’m about to start reading for a chapter on witches. Originally this chapter was branching off from a chapter on birth – so midwife witches, but can really be any type of witchy woman/mother. So far, I’m thinking about Conjure Women, The Witching Tide and Everyone Knows Your Mother is a Witch so any other novels by North American authors would be greatly appreciated!! (Also I’m being very vague about my definition of American so any author that could be slightly classified as American counts!).
Thank you!
