Looking for that age old recommendation–something like Twin Peaks

There is an un-scratchable itch in the back of my mind and I need something to take my mind off of it even if only for a little while

I have played Disco Elysium and Persona 4, watched True Detective and of course Twin Peaks but I still feel that I am missing what I really want.

The story should have all of the following:

An incident that is to be solved

An investigation that unlocks a greater or several other intertwining mysteries

Mundane relationships being impacted by the incident

Occult mysteries! Preferably something Lovecraftian or otherworldly like the Pale in DIsco Elysium, the King in Yellow in True Detective, etc

I am open to Japanese media and non-books, but would love to have a novel to read
