Hi all. I used to read a lot as a kid and teenager, but since I’ve been busy with university work and other real life stuff, I haven’t read nearly as much as I used to. Now that I’m slowing down a bit on so many personal things, I want to read again and enjoy it without feeling it’s a hassle.
I would read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi books, a lot of my favorite books include all of the books by Cornelia Funke and Avi. I also really liked A Series of Unfortunate Events. I’ve also read Ready Player One and Two, and Armada, and love Neil Gaiman’s works.
I’d say I try to stick to a lot of Teen Fiction and Young Adult books. I’m not a big fan of love stories or stories that heavily revolve around love but any recommendations would be welcomed. I’m also wanting to branch into more autobiographies as well. Thank you all in advance!

Personally the book that got me out of a very long reading slump was The Institute by Stephen King. I got through it so quickly, even though it’s not considered to be amongst his best work. The plot was just interesting to me and moved at a nice pace.
Check out the Wayward Pine series by Blake Crouch – I thought it was an incredible and page turning series! I also have read several other book by him I really really enjoyed! Also, get a library card, I love renting books from my library app and reading them on my Kindle. Lots of great suggestions on titles through my library 😄
