I read a book from the Cat in the Stacks series, and I enjoyed it. But I was disappointed that the cat was just there. I really wanted the cat to help with the investigation.
I am thinking something like cat being a regular cat (no talking or special powers), cat goes through a crack they have not noticed before, that crack hides something that helps with the investigation. Or the cat knocks something over or is playing with something and it ends up being an evidence.
It is like an itch in my brain since I read that Cat in the Stacks book. So if there is any mystery books like this, please let me know!
