I read Butter Honey Pig Bread by Francesca Ekwuyasi recently and loved it, it’s got me craving more stories of life in Africa.
I would prefer fictional novels, but memoirs are also welcome as long as they’re fairly narrative (currently reading How Dare the Sun Rise and enjoying it). I would love books especially that focus on a more Indigenous way of life (not set in bigger modern cities). I’m especially interested in the Congo and/or Nigeria but welcome any African country setting.
