I have some money and am looking for a book suggestion. One offs or series are fine. I’d more like sci fi suggestions but if the fantasy is good enough I look into it. Some books/series I already have, WOT, GOT, Mistborn, Way of kings, Dune and dune messiah, Red rising up to book 5, maze runner, poppy war, station eleven, and Percy Jackson.

John C Wright Golden Age Oicumena series. David Zindell’s Requiem for Homo Sapiens. Robert Charles Wilson Spin, C. J. Cherryh’s Cyteen and Downbelow Station, Stephen Baxter’s Xeelee series, Greg Egan, Alastair Reynolds Revelation Space, Dan Simmons Hyperion, Richard K Morgan Altered Carbon and follow-ups, David Brin’s Uplift series.
Andy Weir has some great scifi books like *Project Hail Mary, Artemis,* and *The Martian.* I’d also suggest *The Expanse* series.
A Fire Upon the Deep by Vernor Vinge
If you’re open to middle grade fantasy (which you seem to be, since you mentioned Percy Jackson), I highly recommend [Nevermoor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/6a6d5ca1-b2f5-47be-828c-018144d3bbc7) by Jessica Townsend! It’s very very good.
For sci-fi, I heartily recommend John Scalzi (Old Man’s War, Redshirts, The Kaiju Preservations Society, etc.) and the early works of Charles Stross (Glasshouse, Accelerando, Wireless, etc.). The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells are also absolutely excellent.
For fantasy, you might try Clockwork Boys by T. Kingfisher (a forger, a thief, and a disgraced paladin go on a suicide mission to stop a war), or the Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews (about a bed & breakfast for aliens; it’s basically a slice-of-lie/action anime in novel form).
