Hi guys,im new to this community i’ve recently found within me this urge to read more books cuz in my entire 18 years of life i’ve read like 2 in middle school or smtg and i want help from you guys to tell me where to start.

I’ve always put down every book i picked up after like 10 pages because i couldn’t understand or picture what was being told.and i think that’s primarily because english isn’t my first language.

So what i ask of you kind gentlemen and kind ladies to recommend me some easy but still compelling books to start with.tho i think if i’m starting out only now i think i should begin with children’s books,i wouldn’t mind recs for children’s books that young adults can still enjoy.

I’m primarily interested in Fiction: Parables,Fantasy (preferrably standalones),and philosophical novels and classics. (I don’t think i can start with non-fiction just yet that’s another topic maybe)

I want to read cuz i want to learn more about Storytelling, the human condition and the meaning of life.

This is a list of the books that are my Goals, please recommend me books in accordance to these,I want to read enough and gradually develop my english and analytical thinking to be able to read these books/authors:

    1- Fyodor Dostoyevsky

    2- Friedrich Nietzche

3- Plato (Greek philosophers in general)

4- A Song of ice and fire

    5- Dune

    6- Dracula/Frankenstein

    7- Arthurian Legends (advanced english)

    8- The wheel of time

9- The Lord of the rings

    10- H.P Lovecraft

    11- Herman Hesse

12- any classical piece revolving around the exploration of elements of the human condition

I hope all this was clear,i would really appreciate it if someone took the time to make a list or anything and mentored me through it.

    Thank you so much.
