Looking for a book with a loveable, middle aged mom who is bumbling through life. I need to laugh for a few minutes. Parenting teens with complex issues would be a bonus (I need to find the humor in this life for my mental health lol)

Erma Bombeck put out a number of books in the 1970s about being a mother. Not novels, but rather humorous observations of her life in suburbia. I *think* they were collections of her newspaper columns.
Someone already said Erma Bombeck, so I’m going to suggest:
I Don’t Know How She Does It by Allison Pearson (working mom, school aged kids)
The All Girl’s Filling Station’s Last Reunion by FannieFlagg (the mom is in her 50s, desperately trying to cope with marrying off her daughters)
The Summer of My Amazing Luck by Miriam Toewes (young mom with a baby living in a low income building that is all single mothers of various ages)
The Diviners by Margaret Laurence (single mom in her late 40s parenting a daughter)
Life Among the Savages and Raising Demons by Shirley Jackson. She’s known for her horror books, but these are very light-hearted and funny.
You might enjoy Limelight by Amy Poeppel. The main character is a (slightly younger than) middle aged mom who finds herself playing substitute mom and assistant to a teenage celebrity.
Elly Griffiths Ruth Galloway series.. there are several middle aged moms with careers and bonus, fantastic stories
Hey OP. This is a great question and I’m eager to read the suggestions. Alternately, perhaps we can write the book ourselves!🤣
Not a mom of teens (features younger children) but Finlay Donovan is Killing It certainly nails the bumbling and laughing parts!
