Suggest Me Books To Find My Preferred Style

I just recently got back into reading after my wife gifted me Universal Harvester by John Darnielle (I’m a huge Mountain Goats fan and mentioned I would like to read JD’s books at some point)

I really enjoyed it and have Wolf In White Van & Devil House on order. Made a Libby account and am currently reading Lanny by Max Porter (about halfway through it and am hooked on it)

I’ve got a few other books on my wish list on Libby, just looking for suggestion for authors of similar style to really refine what I’m looking for in literature. TIA
