I’m looking for something that grips me and where the plot revolves around people gaining influence and power theough machinations and politics. Maybe something like the house system in SOIAF, Dune, Red Rising or simmilar.
I don’t mind any specific genre.
Ps: tried kushiel’s dart but could not get into it.

Edit: bonus points if it’s some kind of fantasy or sci-fi, but I’ll read anything you guys think I’ll enjoy. Currently going through a serious book hangover and can’t seem to enjoy anyting.
