Hi all. My (26F) husband (27M) and I are planning a trip to Mexico next summer. We are super excited and would love to start immersing a little in the Mexican culture. I’m looking for a book that is very Mexican and would hook someone who doesn’t read a lot.
I have already downloaded some books to my Kindle, but I haven’t started them yet. I’d love to hear your thoughts on these titles:
\- Quesadillas by Pablo Villalobos
\- González & Daughter Trucking Co. byMaría Amparo Escandón
\- Malinche by Laura Esquivel
\- Caramelo by Sandra Cisneros
One book that we’ve read together and have enjoyed tremendously is Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. We both tend to like books where you can see the characters grow and change over a long period of time. Oh, and our native language is Spanish, so the book can be written in English or Spanish.

Thank you so so much for your time!
