Hi y’all! I’m new here! I’m a mom who is finally carving out more time for herself and I read all my books I have and have been taking my kids to bookstores and finding new books! Being a mom is a big part of my person and I love it. I also love the timeless and connecting experience that is motherhood that all mothers have experienced together. It’s beautiful. It’s a kinship that I share with humans and animals alike.

That said, I have particularly enjoyed when a book I’m reading touches on a mother’s experience. Even just in passing. I’m currently finishing The Wall by Marlen Haushofer. I enjoyed when she would reminisce about her past as a mom even though the story is not about that.

Any recommendations on the timeless experience that is motherhood? Any species! Fiction only please. I’ve read plenty of “how to mother” books. Also… I’m sensitive to sad motherhood stories. Such as about infant loss. So preferably a story that touches more on the profound joy and endless kinship one finds in motherhood. Thanks! ❤️
