I started reading books as I was so bored during the COVID lockdown. The first book I read was ‘Fault in Our Stars’ by John Green. I loved the book and I started to read a few books. I read the Percy Jackson series, Heroes of Olumpus and some other Rick Riordan books. But over time, I stopped reading and now, I want to read again as I feel it increases my focus. A friend of mine suggested ‘Me before you’ as it is a tragic love story similar to Fault in our stars. But I couldn’t read through it. So I need some book recommendations maybe not a series of books but books with engaging stories that could keep me entertained and help me read again. Thanks in advance.

    1. Which genre do you feel like reading right now? because Percy Jackson and Fault to our Stars are totally different.

YA fantasy suggestion — I couldn’t put down the first few Mortal Instrument books & the Infernal Devises

Adult romance suggestion — Ali Hazelwood’s STEM romances are ridiculously cheesy & feel good, I finished each in two days ‘Love Theoretically’ && ‘Love on the Brain’

Robin Sloan’s Sourdough and MR. PENUMBRA’S 24-HOUR BOOKSTORE are both great and fast reads

If you liked The Fault in Our Stars maybe try a couple of Green’s other books? Turtles all the Way Down, Paper Towns and An Abundance of Katherines are some of my faves from him.
