I am currently breastfeeding a small baby who doesn’t sleep well independently so I spend a lot of time trapped under my infant clicking through twitter / Reddit / tik tok on my phone and it’s doing my anxiety no good at all.
So I’ve decided to learn to read again and would love a recommendation.
My attention span is not great, so something relatively light and easy to get into. Something that won’t make me anxious, so not about death or taxes or dentistry or child abuse. Something funny would be nice. I used to read but I’m not hugely well-read, so I’m open to classics as well as newer things. The last book I LOVED was Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Envaristo. My favourite books of all time are probably Adrian Mole. Something I couldn’t get into recently is The Thursday Murder Club
