Read some more Koontz this past several days and no have finished. The book I finished tonight Is, as you would imagine, “Seize The Night”.

The small secluded town of Moonlight Falls is everything that you would imagine it to be: safe and picturesque. But somewhere, and somehow, in the night children are going missing. From their own homes and on the streets.

Here the police can no longer be trusted anymore in Moonlight Falls to solve this mystery. Instead they conceal the crimes and silence complainants instead of even attempting to capture the perpetrators. For they have been corrupted by a much higher authority that is hiding behind the the shuttered walls of Fort Wyvern, a military base adjacent to the town.

Christopher Snow sets out to find one of the missing children who is the son of his former sweetheart, and also the other children whom he believes are still alive. For him he is convinced that these disappearances are connected with the disastrous effects of a secret research that was being conducted at the base. And violent and powerful forces are determined that those secrets and crimes remain concealed.

But for Christopher, he has a secret advantage. For he has a rare genetic disorder known a xeroderma pigmentosum, or XP for short, that makes him dangerously vulnerable to light. Now forced to live within the shadows Christopher is the only one that knows the better than anyone else, even to adversaries who are one with the darkness.

And again it seems that I’ve inadvertently stumbled into another series, well actually a duology this time, the wrong way again! The first book to this “Fear Nothing” is obviously where this, dubbed, I think, the Moonlight Bay diaries, is where it all starts. Well despite all that the second one is pretty good! I mean, after all this is Dean Koontz, and I love me some Koontz! Have to wait see if I can manage to track down, or maybe even get, a copy of “Fear Nothing”.
