We all have our favorite genres, tropes, preferences and our no-gos. But sometimes, through recommendations, lack of choices on hand, curiosity or accident, you end up with something outside your regular parameters.

Twilight, 50 shades only the first book
I understand it’s unrealistic and definitely not role model stuff 🙂 but guilty pleazzzure
Read Twilight and hated it, but **The Host** by Stephanie Meyer was very intriguing. I ate that shit up.
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow
I would not have read this had a visit to my parents’ house not overlapped with my mom checking it out from the library.
I haven’t played a video game since probably 1999. I had zero interest in reading a 400+-page book about video game designers.
It was my favorite book of 2022.
ACOTAR. i didn’t read much newer fantasy, or romance. listened to it with my lady. ended up buying the entire series, and all of her books, on audible. i was really surprised by how much i liked it. gotten my sister to listen to it too. she didn’t like the 1st book but really is enjoying the other two.>! she hated the fact it was a beauty and the beast retelling, but eventually tamlin is on down the road and everyone becomes team rhys.!<
