Hello there, hope y’all having a good day. This may sound strange but I’m not apologizing.
I’ve started to read American Psycho, and no, I am not an aspiring serial killer. As I’m reading, I can’t help but notice the way Patrick speaks to women. He has no filter and is unapologetic about his views, opinions and feelings. I know it’s just a book, but I see it in reality I see it in media, guys who speak this way to women usually have the most success with women.
I am not a misogynist. I genuinely want to find someone I vibe with and care about but the way I speak and the way my mind is wired is not allowing me to do that. I want to reprogram my mind, I don’t want to care because that’s when everything just aligns and happens naturally. I don’t want to continue putting females up on pedestals but the more I try the more I slide into my usual conversations. No spice, no clout, I may joke and make them laugh but it’s never enough.
I am rambling, but if you’re still reading, I honestly appreciate it.
So, are there any novels out there that I can really dig into that have similar main characters? Thank you again.
