Once upon a time I absolutely devoured books across many genres. I was an English Lit major, so I’ve got a decent foundation, and have happily read fairly broadly across the years.
Several years ago I took a hard turn into SF/Fantasy and haven’t really looked back. This was partially due to my mental state at the time, and the fact that I’d been in a book club that seemed to read nothing but WW2 era inter-generational trauma narratives.
I love SF/Fantasy, but have been itching for something different lately. Currently on my shelf is a copy of A Gentleman In Moscow that I promised my parents I’d read several years back, and I plan to read that the moment I finish my Robin Hobb binge.
