I realize James Patterson and his factory aren’t highbrow reading but typically the books are good enough to keep my attention, they feel like the book equivalent of network TV crime shows. This one though, by a new author in his factory, is just terrible. I quit about 1/3 in. Zero character development and the three main characters are just caricatures. The ‘story’ jumps all over the place and is incredibly incohesive. I got to a part where one character does a bump of heroin and passes out, another is suddenly Casanova, and the three of them visit a client who has already paid them $200,000 just to tease and antagonize him. Just stupid as hell.
