So my favorite author is Dostoyevsky. I loved Crime and Punishment and loved the teeny dose of romance between Rodion and Sonya. Iām currently reading War and Peace by Lev Tolstoy and I just find it really cute how Nikolai is so enraptured by Aleksandr I and think itās a little homoerotic (Iām gay and I also know Tolstoy was a little⦠ambiguous on his sexuality to say the least). So, can anyone recommend some more romantic Russian novels?
It can be written at any time but preferably taking place in the 19th century. Not necessarily looking for smut (I wouldnāt really expect it from something written during that period). Iāve been meaning to get to Pushkin, who Iāve heard wrote some more romantic stuff but I havenāt done the research to decide on what to read. Also doesnāt have to be homoerotic/gay but bonus points if it is.
