I’ve just turned the last page of “Devil’s Puzzle” by Leilac Leamas, captivated by its blend of romance, thriller, and vivid erotica, spanning Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Yet, it’s a scene set in Paris that’s truly piqued my curiosity: the narrative follows the protagonist as they delve into a clandestine club, a haunt for the wealthy elite that echoes the grandeur of an upscale swinger’s club, woven into an intricate espionage storyline. The realism with which each location is depicted is astounding; a dive into Google confirms their existence as meticulously described, all but this elusive Parisian club. With a Paris trip on the horizon this June, I’m drawn to the possibility of stepping into a scene straight from Leamas’ world. Despite efforts, neither Castel Events nor Killing Kittens align with the novel’s portrayal. Could this club be more than fiction? Or perhaps there’s a hidden gem akin to it in Paris known to someone here?
