Alternative books for “begginers”

(i’ll start apolagising because of my bad english, it is not my main language).

Resuming: I have started reading in the beggining of the year and im really liking it. I really love consuming and creating alternative genres in art (im a musician) and i thought i could find some books that would fit that style. The problem is that im pretty sure that some books would make me really confused as im not a reader. Any suggestions?
