Hi, I’m looking for books that are wacky, original, trippy, etc, with themes of going insane or losing your mind. Bonus points if it happens against an overly happy backdrop. Basically, I’m obsessed with the vibes of The Amazing Digital Circus, and I would love to read some books that fall into that same genre/niche.
I’m not exactly sure what the right words are to describe this genre of sort of fantastical, zany type elements. The only other piece of media I can think of that feels similar is Alice in Wonderland?
So without the right vocabulary, I don’t even know what to search for, to find more books like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! 🙂

Any book by Philip K. Dick feels like that. Like reading an acid trip.
