I’ve read A Song of Ice and Fire a few years ago, I’m planning on buying it for Kindle and reading it again (along with Fire and Blood), plus I’m looking into reading Dune 1-6. I’m also thinking about reading some Star Wars comics/books down the line, but I wonder what books would you recommend if I’m into these kind of books?

Have you read All Systems Red by Martha Wells? It’s one of my all-time favorite series and I’m not usually a sci-fi gal.

Edit: it was recommended to me by someone who reads science fiction voraciously, so it seems to have broad appeal!

Dunk and egg stories by GRRM is in the same universe as ASOIAF

The Deryni series by Kathrine Kurtz. It’s an older fantasy series with very fun interplay with faith, magic and politics.

The Vorkosigan Saga by Lois Bujold is a very good space opera. The key technology is the uterine replicator that allows people to be grown outside the body. This device allowed Bujold to do stories on different uses of bioengineering and how that would change society. Ethan of Arthos is the best version of a single gender planet I have ever read.
