I (18F) broke up with my partner (21M) last night after 8 months and a day of being together. Most break up books/poetry collections seem oriented towards toxic relationships, but my ex-partner is a good person and did almost everything right.
I ended it for many reasons, but almost all to do with my need for growth & happiness, and our countless failed attempts at remedying our conflicts. It was my first relationship & first romantic/sexual experiences as well.
TL;DR: book for someone who is going through a separation with a good person, not a toxic one? Especially for someone’s first breakup.

Okay this is going to sound weird but I just finished this and I think it would pertain here: Shark Heart by Emily Habeck. Do not let the synopsis scare you, it is SO beautiful.
What helped me during a breakup was The loosening skin by Aliya Whiteley
