What page-turner will get me back into reading?

Heyo!

So I’m a very slow reader who has phases of reading a lot when the book is right – otherwise I have a habit of buying books but never reading them. I’m looking for something to get me back into reading again and wondered if anyone had any suggestions for me!!

Here are some books/themes I’ve really enjoyed:

Fantasy & magic books like:
– The Darker Shade of Magic series by VE Schwab
– Payback’s A Witch by Lana Harper
– Harry Potter series (a nostalgic fave)
– the Sookie Stackhouse series

Sci-fi adventures like:
– Ready Player One & Two by Ernest Cline

Twisty thrillers like:
– Gone Girl
– Girl on the Train
(Though I do feel like these themes are everywhere lately)

Dystopian themes like:
– The Hunger Games series (another nostalgic fave)
– The Last by Hanna Jameson
– The Wall by John Lanchester
– The Circle by Dave Eggers

Modern romances that don’t really feel like romances like:
– One Day
– Normal People
– Landline by Rainbow Rowell (though this did have a time travel-y element)
– I also really enjoyed Practice Makes Perfect by Sarah Adams

I don’t like anything too historical but I have enjoyed classics like To Kill A Mockingbird. I also really enjoyed reading A Game of Thrones but haven’t read beyond the first book yet.

I have a lot of half-finished books (like I have probably picked up Six of Crows about 10 times but can’t get through it for some reason) so I’d love something on the shorter side so I can actually finish it. 😅
