Hey there everyone
Looking to read a book where the protagonist/s escape to a remote location like a cabin due to a coming apocalypse. I enjoy reading stories about survival, quiet/cosy apocalypse, some connections with the outside world. I don’t need a happy ending.
No ghosts or militia please, i don’t mind guns and some fighting and preppers and horror, but i would like to avoid the all out ‘lets war’ for the last half of the book.
Im ok if they escape at the start, middle or towards the end of the book.
I have read of this genre:
The Last Canadian – William C Heine
The Cascade trilogy – Sarah Lyons Fleming
The Death of Grass – John Christopher
The Silence – Tim Lebdon
Bird Box
Parable of the Sower- Butler
Book of the Unnamed Midwife – Elison
Dies The Fire
Earth Abides
Day of the Triffids
Alas Babylon
Wanderers – Chuck Wendig.
Thanks folks, if you’ve read something like that, would love your recommendation.
