Looking for a book about the anti-slavery movement in America
I want all angles – the Underground Railroad, aboveground activists, politics, etc. I want to learn which strategies were most effective and how they all worked together to abolish slavery. TIA!
_South to Freedom_ by Alice L. Baumgartner. You’ll learn a lot about the political dynamics between Mexico, southern, and northern states during slavery as well as less well known escape routes for enslaved people.
