I’d like to start reading physical books as opposed to audible. I’ve done so before but ended up switching because it felt easier to stay focused and get into the story. I’d like something that is fairly light/easy to digest that has good pacing and won’t take me half the book before the plot starts to get interesting. I mainly like fantasy, romance, and adventure genres but I’m open to anything so long as it’s fiction. I always feel embarrassed to admit this but some of my favorite comfort reads are the books I read in highschool like Harry Potter and twilight. I’m not sure if it’s the nostalgia or maybe just because those books weren’t nearly as challenging as the other books I’ve read but I did and still do enjoy them and they also happen to be what comes to mind when I try to think of some examples for what I’m looking for.

The cloud roads by Martha Wells
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Honourable Schoolboy and Smiley’s People, all by John le Carre.
Between them they comprise a rough trilogy, and I notice new details each time I read them.
The Phantom Tollbooth got me back into reading.
There’s nothing embarrassing about enjoying middle grade and YA books 🙂 If you’re open to other middle grade fantasy, my favorite series is [Nevermoor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/6a6d5ca1-b2f5-47be-828c-018144d3bbc7) by Jessica Townsend and I highly recommend it. It also does have fantastic audiobooks if you want to try switching off between the two!
