Hey everyone,
As my title says, I’m not big into reading and I never really have been. But I am trying to change my ways. I feel like in many books, I get bored of the story and lose my motivation to read, I’m looking for a story that will keep me emersed throughout. I am a fan of other types of story media however, and I’m looking for something similar to the stories that I have enjoyed.
One of my favorite narratives that I have experienced was the story in the video game Alan Wake 2. I would love to read something similar to that. I’m a big fan of horror and suspense, and I love big twists, something that will keep me on my toes. I also like emotion in stories; attachment to characters, mental battles, etc.
I also deeply enjoyed the stories in works such as Attack on Titan and Breaking Bad- to name a few others.
I’m not the best at reading comprehension so I’m also looking for something that won’t be a chore to understand.
I’d greatly appreciate all of your suggestions and I’m sure you guys will be a great help for expanding my knowledge of the realm of literature.
Thanks!

If you’re not a regular reader it might be worth dipping your toes in with some graphic novels – I’m sure someone can recommend specific titles. They’re a great way of learning to focus on a narrative and building concentration I’ve found. Good luck.
From what you’ve described, you might enjoy Dead Silence by S A Barnes. It’s sci fi horror that hits a lot of notes you mentioned
Wayward Pines trilogy by Blake Crouch
The Long Walk by Stephen King
