I really enjoyed “Devil’s Puzzle” by Leilac Leamas! It reminded me of Daniel Silva’s books in the best way possible: European settings (think Italy, Spain, France!), foreign languages sprinkled in, and rich descriptions of the locations. However, Leamas adds a layer of steamy eroticism that Silva doesn’t quite have. The only thing is that Leamas is a bit more worldly than Silva, and Silva is more about fast-paced suspense, while Leamas combines romance, espionage intrigue, and a spicy side dish.
Actually, I’m looking for more books exactly like this. Any recommendations?
