My husband and I have this evening ritual where I read to him.
The problem is that it is very hard to find something we both like. I like fantasy, romance, suspense and strong heroines. Some of my favourite books include The Cruel Prince, Harry Potter, The Time Traveler’s Wife, Uprooted, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, The Stand, Bridget Jones and a lot more…
My husband likes crime/military/law novels written by authors like Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton, Chris Ryan, John Grisham, Clive Cussler and Dan Brown. I also enjoy these in moderation, but they are not my favourite. I liked the DaVinci Code a lot though.
I read him Harry Potter and he enjoyed it, but it can’t be a much more complex fantasy world than that. I tried reading him The Cruel Prince, but he finds it extremely boring and hard to follow.
Please help me and suggest a book that I can read to him that we will both enjoy 🙂
It would be best with popular books that are a few years old to make sure they have been translated into our language.
