My question is when was the last time you read a book in one sitting? I am aware that your response is more likely to refer to a novella or a short novel than some big book like War and Peace. And that it may reflect something about your reading habits and interests as much as it reveals how exciting a particular books is. But having never read a book in a single sitting, I am often fascinated when someone tells me they spent six hours reading nonstop (well, except for bathroom breaks and eating) or that they even stayed up the night to finish a book (and I don’t mean books assigned in a course).

On the other hand, skipping pages and putting a book away only to return to it weeks or months later, that I understand.

    So, what book was it?

    1. Yeah, small things, since manga doesn’t count. Last year, it was Bukowski’s ‘Post Office,’ King’s ‘Rage,’ and ‘Elevation.’

    2. A book called “It’s Going To Get Loud”about Leo Fender and Les Paul and the invention of the electric guitar. Didn’t read it in one sitting but finished it in three days.

    3. Legends and Lattes, right at the end of my pregnancy. Lil dude is 3 months old now, if I get to finish a chapter or two it’s a damn good day 🤣
