My girlfriend is currently in the hospital. I think audiobooks might be a helpful distraction during the lulls.
Here’s where I need your help. I don’t know anything about the romance genre.. but I know it’s what she reads when everything else becomes too much.
Some of what I know she likes includes fantasy, adventure, contemporary with darker themes, mythology, and female characters who come into their own despite whatever weaknesses or shortcomings they’ve been dealt. She doesn’t have any triggers but I’m going to insert one for her: let’s try to avoid anything involving car accidents.
She hasn’t listened to audiobooks very much because some narrators throw her off, it is the way they try to do voices or something. Reading is currently not an option.
If you could share audiobooks from this genre that you’ve enjoyed the most, especially a series or something immersive, you’d be saving me a lot of trouble.
As much as I’d gladly read her smut out loud to her.. I’d like to spare the other patients in the room.
