Written by Agustina Bazterrica. I borrowed the audiobook via Libby and it was read by Joseph Balderrama.

The quick one word review: Bravo

This book was written very well and Balderrama did an excellent job delivering it. His voice was very eerie to match the tone of the book.

I’m a fan of dystopian novels and horror. This was the first horror novel that has disturbed me in some time. It is incredible to me how normalized the process of cannibalism was accepted in the world. At the same time, how much the processors did to dehumanize the “product” to make them more animal like. The descriptions made me a fair bit queasy on how bodies were treated and processed.

Also, Marcos had me rooting for him until the end. I expected a different ending until his wife came back, then it became somewhat obvious to me what was to happen.
