Does anyone have suggestions of books that have a movie or show connection based on girlhood (0-18) to womanhood (19+)?
I’ve been analyzing and borrowing library books about the main character reflecting about her life and her relationships with her siblings, mom, dad, and friendships. Having a film adaptation of the book would be great as well! A bonus would be the book written by a female author and the director being a woman as well. The book could be a memoir and a series. (Preferably no magic and in America) super hard to think of things that fit this criteria
I can think of Little Women, Speak, Girl Interrupted, The Diary of a Young Girl, Sharp Objects, and Sisterhood of the traveling pants to name a few.
