Hi! As the title says, I’m looking for suggestions for books to read with nature themes, whether it is a novel with a nature focused storyline or a memoir of a nature lover, just so long as it isn’t a textbook!
Here are a few of my favourites in case anyone else is looking!
Fiction:
– anything by Barbara Kingsolver
– Greenwood by Michael Christie
– the Overstory by Richard Powers
– White Fang by Jack London
Non-fiction:
– To Speak for the Trees by Diana Beresford-Kroeger
-Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer
– Lab Girl by Hope Jahren
-Paddling my own Canoe by Esther Keyser (recommended for those in Ontario!)
-Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
-Woman, Watching by Merilyn Simonds
– Finding the mother tree by Suzanne Simard
Poetry
-Mary Oliver

Happy to see some of my favorites in your description! (I also love the deep-cut Office reference in your username.)
If you’re okay with a very long memoir, I’d highly recommend Horizon by Barry Lopez. It’s one of those books with some hauntingly beautiful scenes; they’ve really stuck with me.
