I really loved Band of Brothers, and D-Day by Stephen Ambrose, Masters of the Air, the pacific trilogy by Ian W. Toll was a favorite. I’d love to get a contemporary history book on WWI in the style of Ian W. Toll. I’m not interested in Eugene Sledge’s Pacific memoir for various unimportant reasons.
