So I’m really into the fantasy genre revolving around Greek mythology or ancient Egypt, but I feel like I don’t know any books that fit that category. I read Percy Jackson and really liked it, but I feel like the rest are just history tellings. Any good books?

    1. Both low fantasy set in Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egypt series by Wilbur Smith (this one leans more to the realistic side of things, with some magical elements in it)

Khai Of Ancient Khem by Brian Lumley (this one is less accurate to history but more fantastical)

I am aware that it isn’t a fantasy book but the only book I can think off is Death comes as the end by Agatha Christie.

It’s a murder mystery set in ancient Egypt.

    3. By “history tellings”, do you mean you don’t want retellings of myths? Such as *Circe* by Madeline Miller, *A Thousand Ships* by Natalie Haynes, *Ariadne* by Jennifer Saint, etc. for Greek mythology.

For an Egypt-focused fantasy, I recommend *A Master of Djinn* by P. Djèlí Clark.
