Just finished this book, and after all the hype I was a little let down. I finished so I didn’t hate it, the story was okay, but I thought it was an overly simple plot and glaringly obvious to the reader which made Molly’s inability to piece the murder together kind of painful to read for me. Her naivety and oddness wasn’t entirely consistent in my opinion, she’s able to recognize the need to lie about certain things to protect people, but she can’t gather that >!Rodney was the rat!< immediately and she works best under rules etc? Also, how is she completely unaware that she is kind of different from most people? The first half of the book was terribly painful for me to read, I just felt bad for her and kind of embarrassed for her. The last half of the book was just okay.
What are your thoughts? I imagine many will disagree with me, but I realize this is just my personal opinion and I don’t expect everyone to agree with me.
