I’ve been trying to get into the habit of reading for almost a year now but the thing is I just can’t seem to stick it out with one till the very end.
I’ve tried various different books but I just quit after like going through half the book & try to look for something new or more interesting to read. I have completed some of them by just sticking it out but in the end, they’re just not fun & it gets boring.
What might it be or any suggestions as to how I can fix this absurd habit of mine would be greatly appreciated. I think I get dozed off when I have to pause or continue after a day or two, lets face it its not easy to read 1500 pages in a single go & when I come back I’m just not that interested anymore i guess. I know reading is a great way to make you see different perspectives. You can’t meet thousands of people in your life but you can read thousands of books which means interacting with thousand different minds which is amazing.
So far the books I’ve read or tried to read end to end are:
– 12 rules for life by JP (started it 3 months ago, too bored to end it)
– Atomic Habits (finished this one)
– The witcher series ( did not end this either)
– Animal Farm by George Orwell (finished this, well it was small so was easier to do in one sitting)
– 1984 George Orwell (not completed either)
– The society of the spectacle
– Our mutual friend (thinking of starting this next but I don’t want to ruin it cuz I’ve heard great things about this one)
There are a couple more but I think this should suffice the case I’m trynna make. Any help would be really appreciated. Cheers~
