Final Girls by Riley Sager and The Final Girl Support Group by Gracie Hendrix are both being recommended, but I can’t pick which I should buy.
For those who’ve read both or are familiar with one or both authors, help me decide please!

I loved The Final Girl Support Group! For comparison’s sake I’ll chime in that that one is a fast-paced thriller with a constant guessing game as to who the monsters are. Lots of quip-y one-liners, campy deaths, and over complicated plot lines, but also a deep dive into the history of the cinematic phenomenon recreated in the world of the fiction and a profound examination of the trauma.
I believe the Sager has a similar conceit, but it’s a little smaller scale, and doesn’t seem to hit the tongue-in-cheek humor as hard as Hendrix does. You’ll need a more informed opinion than mine for more on that one, sorry to say.
Hope this helps, and that you enjoy whichever you pick!
I’ve read both and I preferred the Sager. I kinda felt like Final Girls Support Group was a little clunky with too many characters. I think Final Girls was better paced and more interesting.
final girl support group easily!! it had me on the edge of my seat the entire book, and the psychological trauma was also fleshed out well. i will say that final girls was a little bit more unpredictable especially the last big reveal, but i was bored in quite a few parts and i didn’t find the build up to be rewarding.
