books with feminist themes set in the past like lorca’s yerma?
basically the title. non classics are fine too, i really liked the neapolitanean novels by ferrante, but i’d like this european backdrop of the 30s-50s and a story with feminist/societal themes
Not Europe, but American in the 60s: Lessons in Chemistry. Don’t be put off by the horrendous America cover that looks like Chick Lit. It actually has some interesting things to say.

Dorothy Sayers Gaudy Night,
Not socialist at all. Quite privileged in fact

It might be set in the 70s/80s, but A Friendship, by Silvia Avallone. Set in Italy, tells the story of two female friends and nostalgia. I really enjoyed it!
