I’m looking for more of the weird zone genre, bonus if it’s inward facing, I don’t mind a bit of navel gazing. This stuff usually is scifi but it doesn’t have to be.
A few examples of things I’ve read and really enjoyed (along with a brief synopsis for any other weird zone fans who may be looking):
Roadside Picnic – The OG of weird zones. Fully empty.
Blindsight/Echopraxia – Dandelions and vampires. Sweet.
Kefahuchi Tract Trilogy – Loved it. Three times. No idea what it’s about. Beautiful piece of work.
Southern Reach Trilogy – Shimmery mummy issues, I can relate.
Solaris – My wife is a planet.
Any suggestions of works in the same vein would be appreciated!

Plastic by Scott Guild maybe? It’s pretty weird and thought provoking (I liked Annihilation)
