I know there is a lot of competition out there for great indie books, but I was blown away by the brilliant satire in it and the character development as the story went from building suspense about the horrors to come, then delivered some absolutely brutal scenes that put teh characters through hell.
No spoilers, but I wanted to alert other readers out there that love smartly done, realistic books like this because it seems like too often we just go along with whatever books are presented to us an whatever is already popular.
This book is so good that I’m willing to get banned on this sub for it, because every time I talk about the book people think I’m teh author or I’m being paid to promote it or something, and censor my posts. I’m not either one of those. It’s just good writing.
The commentary is just so spot on that I have to share. It doesn’t take a side, whether yu’re on the left or the right, it just tells both sides of the story evenly. And both sides suffer the events in the book evenly too. And today, when there is so much propaganda coming from both sides, this is the type of book we need to start thinnking objectively again.
